JenuArt Abstracts Update

Good afternoon everyone, just a quick note to let you know that I have now added four amazing new abstracts to my shop JenuArt Abstracts, see below.

I thought I would take this opportunity to share my thoughts with you on abstract art. There are many contradictory and confusing opinions on the why’s and wherefore’s of abstract art so I thought I might just add another opinion - mine. Maybe you will agree with what I say, maybe not, please let me know by commenting. Thanks

For me the beauty and creation of abstract art is all about the viewer, and their interpretation of what they see within the colours, shapes and form, and their emotional response to it. Abstract art needs to resonate with the viewer - the eye cannot identify what is being seen but the soul or subconscious can which often produces an emotional response within the viewer on a deeply personal level.

The artist is purely the tool used to break all the art rules and bring the shapes, forms, colours together, thus allowing the viewer the freedom of exploration to experience the emotional response they feel from all that is encapsulated within the abstract. This, I believe, occurs on different levels for each and every individual who finds themselves drawn to a particular abstract.

As an abstract artist, who loves the vibrancy of colour, I confess that the artwork I produce is not planned or even thought about - i.e. what am I going to paint etc. - apart from my Angelic Energy paintings where I was given a written outline of angelic beings and their colours, and the paintings evolved from there.  

My art training and years of drawing and painting has given me the advantage of knowing instinctively which colours to use once I start. However, the abstracts I create come from an emotional level within my subconscious mind of which I am not aware and is therefore always a wonderful surprise for me when it is complete.
