Ups and Downs!
What a decidedly strange week I have had. I have to admit I have been feeling more than a little off this week, sort of spaced out, the only way to describe it really, and very tired. It started out really well with an estate agent coming to see my apartments, with a view to advertising them, on Monday and the weather was pretty good, chilly but sunny. She was so enthusiastic about both apartments so perhaps things are going to turn around now. If you are interested here is a link to a video of the apartments Casa Ardoran. So even though I felt a little out of sorts her visit definitely made me feel much better. One of the Ups!
So then came Tuesday and the rain and my crazy little Bella. It was a difficult day for her as she does like to go out but absolutely hates the rain so did not get out as much as she would have liked. However, she had my heart racing when it was time for her dinner. Bear in mind please she is in her seventeenth year and has problems with her back legs, then you will understand why my heart was racing as she decided, as I started to prepare her food, (as luck would have it I turned toward her as she moved) to run from the sofa straight across the coffee table unfortunately landing between the edge of the coffee table and the other sofa. She was totally disorientated but thankfully, apart from being shocked, unharmed. How, I don’t know, I was so scared that something would be broken or badly injured, my heart was in my mouth, so to speak, as I rushed over to her. Not five minutes later she was eating as if nothing untoward had happened. Me I was still shaking as I sorted her food and tried to calm down as she started eating. After I had given her her food I went straight over to the coffee table and moved it right away from both sofas so that she could come down from either onto the carpet. In fact today I moved the coffee table away into the office to stand on its side until I can decide where it should go. This was most definitely a Down.
Wednesday, cold and wet again was not too bad until I sorted out my food order, which I usually do on Tuesdays - can’t think why I would have forgotten it apart from Bella’s little episode. So did my order only to find they could not deliver until Saturday. So quick check to make sure I had enough of everything and I can manage, thank goodness I had frozen some of my bread rolls. Bread rolls taken out of the freezer on Thursday so I have enough of everything else to last until Saturday. I know it sounds crazy and of course I could have gone and got supplies if necessary locally but I was still not feeling 100%. A so so day not really up but not really down either.
Perhaps having had my booster vaccine on Friday last week my body was reacting to it. I did not have any problems with the first or second vaccine so I did not associate feeling unwell with that but on reflection it is quite possible that my body is trying to assimilate whatever the booster gave me.
Thursday was definitely a weird day and one where I felt decidedly unwell. I am not one to take naps, even at my age, when I am up I am up and will always find something to do. However, Thursday, even after a reasonable night’s sleep, was a day when I found myself almost falling asleep in front of the computer. I put my head back on the chair and next minute I was sleeping. It was most odd I found it difficult to rouse myself and get up to do anything. This took away most of my morning and it was Bella, needing to go out, that made me get up. In fact even though it was quite chilly I went out with Bella to try and chase away the cobwebs!! Not a good experience for me and most definitely a Down.
Today is Friday and it is most definitely an Up, even though I am still a little spaced out. I received emails from Zazzle telling me that my new abstract puzzles are up for sale on my Zazzle store - link here if you are interested, and from Amazon.es - a publicity email asking me if I would be interested in purchasing ‘Colour Me Happy’ by J.M.Neville - if you don’t know I publish on Amazon using my pseudonym, J.M.Nevile, so I was quite excited as if this was sent to me then obviously it would be sent to many others - at least that is what I am hoping. Links to both Volume 1 and Volume 2 are on my Adult Colouring Book page of this website if you would like to take a look.
Well I hope I have not bored you to tears in sharing my week with you and wish you all the very best. Take care and Keep Safe.
