So I have a bit of a dilemma here as to whether or not I should add advertising to my website. Part of me is saying it is a viable proposition and yet the other loves the fact that my website is not inundated with advertisements.

On a previous website of mine - AdsMallorca - it was fine as this was mainly a site to advertise Mallorca, allowing people to advertise themselves and therefore I could, through Google Adsense, advertise what was available in Mallorca.

However, as this website is a totally different concept and, for me, is about inspiring others who have had similar experiences as myself and hopefully finding comfort in it I do not want it covered in advertisements.

Having said that perhaps if I add links to products that I have loved, found useful, or that have made amazing presents, within the text that I have written, it would be more acceptable. What I don’t want is advertisements that disturb the look of the site or get in the way of what is being said. I know how frustrated I become when I get to a site to find something out and it is full of advertisements, all I really want to do is leave it.

I have added a few things to my Vegan page which, as a vegan, I have found more than useful and enlightening. I have put it into the text and they link to Amazon, which is where I purchased them which will give you, if you are interested, the opportunity to take a look.

I do still have an Amazon Associates account from the time I used it with AdsMallorca and I think my thoughts are more in that direction than Adsense as it can be far less intrusive. Perhaps I should have a page separate from all others with things that I have found on Amazon with my comments on them as I have bought many things from Coconut Oil to Drip Trays that might be useful to many others.

Any comments you have would be greatly appreciated. Just adding a small ad below for Amazon Prime, perfect if you live in Spain. Not very intrusive but helpful I thought. What do you think?
